Master’s Degree on Fashion Writing – in the 2012/2013.

A new course of Polimoda International Institute Fashion Design& Marketing (Florence, Italy) will be started in October, 2012, and will last 6 months. Master in Fashion Writing – that is the name of new program – is specially designed for the specialists in fashion, who has a deal with texts, articles, books and blogs.

“A fashion writer is much more than just a journalist or a copy writer. Figures of reference are Suzy Menkes, Cathy Horyn, Caroline Evans and Colin McDowell, but also Imran Amed and Scott Schuman, women and men who, starting from a book, a magazine or a blog, can observe the whole fashion system, vivisect a single collection, interview designers and managers, take sides or distance themselves, but always with a cutting and singular style that will either sow the seeds of doubt or launch sharable perspectives”.

Tutor of the course is well-known fashion specialist Danilo Venturi (we have already write about his inspiring master-class held in October 2010 at Volvo Fashion Week) – so the new course is promising to be interesting, useful and even a bit philosophical.
